Repetitive beats, soulful harmonies. Sign me the fuck up. Today I give you a one hit wonder from 1988 that, even still, does not disappoint. Here we have yet another example of how it’s sometimes not about the lyrics but the way a song, and its entire vibe, makes me feel. This one definitely makes me feel some type of way.
I present to you The Promise by When In Rome, dazzling our ears and eyes with its appropriately over the top eighties music video that was played to death and back on VH1. Need to tell ya, gotta tell ya, gotta tell ya… that lead singer though? Woof!! I just googled him: his name is Andrew Mann, and MANN, did he age well!!! WOOF!!
