I’m not a perfect person. There’s the understatement of life.
But I continue learning. A better, different statement that I would prefer to have attributed to me.
Shortly into the new millennium came a song by a weirdly named band that gripped me and helped me to musically reevaluate the wrongs I’d done to certain loved ones, but mostly it helped me realize these things: I’m human, I’m not perfect, I’ve never had ill intent, and I am worthy of a second chance and reprieve.
Here is The Reason by Hoobastank from the start of a brand-new era I my life where I was flying solo for the first time since, well, ever. Maybe I could get it right as I entered this new, clean chapter.
