1978 was rich with songs like this, especially on the heels of the phenomenon called Saturday Night Fever. The Bee Gees could quite literally do no wrong. So even the songs they didn’t actually sing lead vocals on would soar up the charts, like Emotion by Samantha Sang. I confess that I have never seen this video, the definition of cheese, EVER until today. I don’t think I even ever knew what she looked like! But here she is in her Dazzler-esque pantsuit and her Farrah Fawcett-Majors hair, ushering in the world of back-lighting and smoke! I also confess that I lip-sync’d the shit out of this song too, and it occurs to me that it’s no wonder my mom always knew I was a giant homo!
