Continuing along the lines of childhood memories, these two Rundgren gems are right in the sweet spot of my AM Radio memories. Mom, Sis, Greg & Linda. I Saw The Light is, by far, one of those that brings me right back to the park, to the trees, to my sister and my mom. I think I could lose myself in the tambourine toward the end of the song. Hello, It’s Me, however, is more of a throwback. I remember it as a kid, but it came about more prevalently for me as an adult, maybe some time in the nineties when I was in my era of self-discovery. The root is still nostalgia, but the sound was still so current and it could have been a song on the radio at the moment. This is one of those moments in music history that is just perfection. Beautiful harmonies, melancholy but bittersweet lyrics.
