Enter another powerhouse mega-talent, Lady Gaga. Love her or hate her, you cannot dispute the amount of talent inside that tiny, strange little Mother Monster’s body. I had the privilege of seeing her perform live and it’s something I take with me through the rest of my life. She is brilliant. She is unique. She is amazing. She is also one of the greatest advocates of the LGBT community, and for that I respect and applaud her. So it shouldn’t be a shock that I choose Born This Way as my favorite song by Lady Gaga. People compare it to Express Yourself by Madonna, and so what? That’s another great song. But in my opinion the two songs are nothing alike and each is separately amazing. You hear this song and you want to dance, you want to feel the joy of freedom. This song makes me proud to be who I am and it makes me feel good knowing there are people out there who get it. Enjoy this crazy-ass video; it yearns to be watched as a high-budget short film.
