Clearly one of the happiest songs of my lifetime (and that’s a long span of time, people!), the duet of Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Sir Elton and pop-pal Kiki Dee is a song for the ages. This is a feel-good song if I’ve ever heard one. Look how happy and silly this video is! This is perhaps the finest moment in the career of Elton John. A perfect song. Uplifting, danceable, karaoke-inspiring. This guy has had a million hits, each one more classic than the last, from ballad to pop to rock, but this song is the gold standard among his finest work. Not much else to say about this song except it will never NOT make me love it! It couldn’t if it tried!
