Representing Freestyle is Sweet Sensation with Sincerely Yours. The late eighties presented us with this new form of dance music, and most of it sounded the same with a different voice here and a quirky extra beat there, but this song is a stand out among the genre for me. It is part of the soundtrack of 1989 when I lived with Jan and Vinny and it reminds me of getting ready to go out to Grand Central to work the coat room. There’s a photo I have posted several times, a quintessential late eighties pic of me dressed to (what was then) the nines, and this song was almost certainly playing in the background when Jan snapped the picture.
